Creams, ointments based on active ingredients derived from nature have always been the simplest means to improve the physical appearance of the skin. The cosmetics, however, to be truly effective must carry out their action in the depths of the dermis. Today fillers and botoxes are used to reduce wrinkles or change the appearance of the face. The method involves injections of hyaluronic acid or botulin to reach the deep layers of the skin tissue. They are therefore non-permanent invasive systems which also have a lot of side effects.
Biowave Skyn Center has studied the possibility of using alternative systems. He developed an instrument based on the principle of ionophoresis to penetrate deeply the active ingredients and molecules of hyaluronic acid, which, if passed by topical way would remain on the surface bringing very limited benefits. Iontophoresis is the same method used for some time in medicine to circulate drugs without excipients.
Biowave System with its tested procedure, to reduce wrinkles, avoids resorting to painful subcutaneous punctures. A small amount of cream is applied to the polarized head of the instrument, which gently moved on the face is able to produce microcurrents. These are the ones that carry and push in depth the molecules of hyaluronic acid. The instrument also allows to combine in synergy with the iontophoresis, a function of electrostimulation and massage (Micro Massage - Relax), which increases the production of collagen and the dilation of the pores. In this way a better penetration of the serum into the dermis is favored, with the beneficial effect of lifting the skin and making it more toned.
