Galvanic ionophoresis is used successfully in the medical field to convey the active ingredients, without adding other substances. In the aesthetic field, the Biowave Face Lifter is used to achieve two objectives:
a- To cleanse the pores of the skin freeing it from cosmetic residues, sebum, comedones and other impurities. In this case a positive galvanic current (ION +) is generated which is able to encapsulate, thanks also to the action of the Bioware Cleaning cosmetic make-up, the impurities and expel them out of the skin. The benefit of this treatment is to leave the skin perfectly clean. This improves oxygenation and circulation, which promote the cellular health of the dermis, avoiding the damage of free radicals that cause premature aging of the skin.
The positive electrode generates an acidic action with the beneficial effect of reassuring the nerves and causing a greater flow of blood. In this way the fiber of the skin tissue is strengthened, freeing the pores and mitigating the redness of the skin. Therapy is also applicable for skin allergies and acne.
b- The second most important objective is to convey hyaluronic acid molecules in the depth of the dermis. As is known, this acid is a natural product of our skin, responsible for most of the turgidity, volume (emptying and cutane depressions) and the shape of the skin. Unfortunately, with the advance of age, its production is progressively reduced, causing wrinkles and other imperfections.
Biowave Face Lifter, is able to generate the galvanic current to convey and to penetrate in a painless way, the hyaluronic acid molecules present in our Biowave Hyaluronic Serum, formulated ad hoc to have very small negatively ionized molecules (ION-). These positively polarized propelling-driven molecules can more easily penetrate into the connective tissue. The hyaluronic acid that reaches the subcutaneous layers is able to hydrate and enter, a considerable quantity of water molecules going to restore the voids of cheekbones and lips.
All this results in a lifting effect obtained in a painless and non-invasive way.
Furthermore, the galvanic current produces another beneficial effect by activating an alkaline action, which stimulates the nerves, promotes blood circulation, softens the fibers of the skin tissue, strengthening its compactness. It is applicable successfully on dry skin with slow and aging-related metabolism.
